Admissions to Ph.D. Program
All students must apply online to the Management Science Ph.D. program through the university graduate admissions office. You will not need to send any information to our department. The program admits three to four students every year in the Fall. In exceptional circumstances, we will consider Spring term admissions.
Each year, the Business Analytics and Statistics department allocates funds to waive the application fee for exceptional doctoral candidates that score higher than 85% on both the verbal and math components of the GRE (or GMAT). If your scores qualify and you want to be considered for an application fee waiver, please contact Christine Vossler at email@example.com
|Priority Application Deadline||February 1 (applications considered until class is filled)|
|Preferred Background||Strong math background, including calculus and statistics|
|GPA||Average undergraduate GPA 3.6|
|GRE/GMAT||Average GRE Score 80% and higher|
|English Language Proficiency||Applicants whose native language is not English must take the TOEFL/IELTS|

The TOEFL and IELTS scores are valid for two years from the date they are taken. The university will not allow us to consider applications for international students after February 1. International students do not need to submit TOEFL and IELTS scores if they have a degree from a university located in the United States.
We require an interview, which we prefer to conduct in person during a campus visit. If an in-person interview is not possible, please contact us to schedule an online interview. The interview is a great opportunity for you to determine if our program is a good fit for you.
All admitted students will receive a tuition waiver and additional funding to support living expenses. The amount of additional funding will vary. The tuition waiver does not cover some university or departmental fees.
