Lean for Healthcare: Operating Room

Course Description

Our very successful Lean for Operating Room course gets an update thanks to an expanded format and revised three-phased simulation. The course also includes AMA PRA Category 1 credits for physicians and continuing medical education credits for other healthcare professionals.

This course combines the latest thinking on lean enterprise with a comprehensive understanding of the operating room and its needs. It is intended for staff from all service lines connected to the operating room. Cross-functional teams are encouraged to participate together. Lean for Operating Room uses a mix of teaching, breakout groups, a unique three-phase hands-on simulation, and solution-solving sessions to teach lean principles, specifically for the surgical arena and the various departments involved in its operation.
