Adam Campbell

Title: Adjunct Professor and Quality Improvement

Dr. Campbell is currently Director, Clinical Improvement and Analytics at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in Norfolk, VA. As part of the Department of Quality and Safety, Dr. Campbell leads efforts in quality improvement and data analytics. Dr. Campbell is also Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) in Norfolk. 

Previously, Dr. Campbell was Corporate Director, Clinical Policy and Analytics at Shriners Hospitals for Children, where he led quality management and improvement efforts across the 22 hospital system. Prior to coming to SHC, Dr. Campbell served as Director of Clinical Policy at WellCare Health Plans, a Medicare and Medicaid health plan in Tampa, FL. Dr. Campbell is also an Examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award program.

He received his BA in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati, his MA in Experimental Psychology from East Tennessee State University, and his PhD in Cognitive and Neural Sciences from the University of South Florida. He studied at the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, on a post-doctoral fellowship.
