Charles M. Cwiek, a Distinguished Lecturer and Business Analytics Undergraduate Program Director in the Department of Business Analytics & Statistics at The University of Tennessee, specializes in the areas of industrial statistics, quality control methods, and process management. Charles teaches Introductory Statistics, Statistical Process Control and Design of Experiments to undergraduate students.

In April of 2000, The University of Tennessee’s College of Business Administration (now the Haslam College of Business) awarded Charles the Allen H. Keally Outstanding Teaching Award. Charles has taught in various courses offered through U.T.’s Graduate and Executive Education (GEE) program for over thirty years, most recently in their Black Belt Certification Program.

In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he is the Director of the Undergraduate Business Analytics Program within his home department. He is also the Chair of the Haslam College of Business Undergraduate Business Policies Committee.

Charles also serves as a consultant to industry in the area of statistical process control. He has worked primarily within the automotive components industry setting up measurement system evaluation studies.

Charles received his B.S. and M.S. in Statistics from The University of Tennessee.
