Jennifer (Jen) Rittenhouse is a leader, trusted advisor and faculty member of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Haslam College of Business. Using her extensive corporate work experience to enhance the learning of undergraduate students, she teaches classes in strategy, international business and human resources. She also provides leadership coaching in the college’s MBA programs.

In addition to her role as a faculty member in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship, she currently serves as director of the Greg and Lisa Smith Global Leadership Scholars (Smith GLS) program, Haslam’s signature undergraduate honors program, promoting leadership, community, service, excellence and a global mindset.

She is also responsible for the leadership of Business Fellows, an additional signature honors experience designed specifically for Haslam undergraduates. The program provides high-achieving Haslam students with additional professional development opportunities through both curricular and co-curricular activities.

After more than 25 years in corporate leadership roles, Jen shares lessons from her career with her students, allowing them to learn from her “real world” experiences. Her corporate experience includes serving as AMETEK global vice president of human resources and PepsiCo HR executive. While at PepsiCo, Rittenhouse helped found the PepsiCo Diversity Leadership Development program at UT, which continues today.

Jen earned a bachelor’s in business, a master’s in human resources and labor relations and a master’s in management. She also earned her doctor of business administration degree, where her research focused on imposter phenomenon, authentic leadership and emotional exhaustion.
