As an entrepreneur and company founder most of his 40-year professional career, John Bruck’s mission is to create and grow value for start-up businesses and their stakeholders. He is currently the Entrepreneur-In-Residence at the Anderson Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation Business Accelerator in the Haslam College of Business and an angel investor with Queen City Angels in Cincinnati. John is also a member of Oak Ridge National Laboratory’s Innovation Crossroads’ Leadership Council. His strengths in mentoring new companies are strategic and business planning, supporting and developing leadership and teams, and connecting to resources, including investment capital, necessary for high growth. A particular specialty is preparing appropriate startups for private investment. His academic training includes a B.S. in civil/environmental engineering from Purdue University, management coursework at Xavier University, and the Leadership in Professional Services Firms course at Harvard Business School. He has been the recipient of many business awards, including Engineering New Record’s Top Engineering/Environmental Firms (2000) and #98 in the Inc. Magazine 500 series (1993).
