Larry Kessler is a Research Associate Professor in the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee at the Boyd Center for Business and Economic Research. His research interests include health economics, education, and public policy. Dr. Kessler’s work at the Boyd Center includes creating and maintaining the Tennessee econometric forecasting model which provides short-term and long-term forecasts for the state economy. He is also the project director for the annual Economic Report to the Governor, and has consulted with various state and local government agencies on a variety of projects, ranging from economic analysis on education initiatives to providing tax revenue forecasts.
Prior to arriving at UT in 2013, Dr. Kessler received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of South Florida.
