Lia Winter earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh as well as dual Master in Business Administration and Master of Science in biomedical engineering degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. While at UT, she co-founded a company, Winter Innovations, that developed an innovative medical device called EasyWhip that is now being used in surgeries. Winter’s range of experience in academic research, engineering, orthopedics R&D and business gives her a unique perspective on developing innovative medical solutions.
