Admission Requirements
The Full-Time MBA application requires two references as well as transcripts, GMAT/GRE scores, TOEFL score (if applicable), a resume and responses to a set of essay questions. Official copies of all transcripts and test scores are required before an admissions decision can be rendered (GMAT ID: 8GR-KN-71, GRE ID: 1843) .
Top six traits we look for in our Full-Time MBA candidates:
1. Professional work experience (3+ years preferred)
2. Academic potential (GPA and GMAT or GRE)
3. Proven success working in teams
4. Cultural diversity or international work/travel experience
5. Demonstrated leadership
6. Effective communication skills
Recommended Coursework: Applicants who earned non-business undergraduate degrees are encouraged to take fundamental courses in one or all of the following: accounting, Excel, finance and statistics before entering the program.
Admission Test Options: Either the GMAT or GRE is required and scores are valid for five years. Active duty military and veterans should contact mba@utk.edu to inquire about the possibility of a GMAT or GRE waiver. No exemption consideration is available for the MBA/MS in Engineering or the MBA/MS in Business Analytics programs.
English Language Proficiency: For applicants whose native language is not English, the MBA program requires a minimum score of 600 or 100 IBT for the TOEFL or 7.5 for the IELTS. Test scores are valid for two years.

April 1, 2021: Fourth Round Review Date (based on space availability)
June 15, 2021: Final Review Date
