Marketing & Supply Chain Management

SCM Scholars of Distinction

Scholars of Distinction is an initiative of the MSCM department identifying top-performing rising students across all academic years who have declared the supply chain management (SCM) major.

The program accepts applicants once a semester (fall/spring) and provides the maximum percentage of our high achieving students with an exceptional and unique opportunity to learn, grow and network in the major and profession. Scholars have exclusive opportunities to connect and network with supply chain management executives from leading global companies via company site visits and special events.
The program invites students across all academic years to participate. Qualified students, identified through a screening in the Undergraduate Business Programs Office, are invited according to their current academic status. Students can receive multiple invitations to participate and must complete a new application with each invitation.
Scholars participate in four career and professional development sessions (1:1 or in a group) created for each cohort. The modules are designed to strengthen and refine career goals, sharpen interview skills, presentation skills and enhance professional acumen.
The invitation to apply is sent to qualifying students on the second day of classes each semester. Selection criteria includes: academic excellence, campus leadership, community service and work experience. Application submissions require the application, a one page resume in PDF format and a 150-word essay.
