The University of Tennessee’s Haslam College of Business will hold commencement ceremonies for the Full-Time MBA and Master of Science in Business Analytics programs this Friday, November 20. These will be the first of seven Fall Haslam graduation ceremonies and will be held at the Tennessee Theatre.
Appropriate social distancing and safety precautions will be observed. All presenters will be masked and gloved, and students will be masked. Because of the physical distancing requirements, each graduate and executive education program will hold an individual hooding ceremony with limited physical attendance. Advance reservations and tickets are required for all attendees. Those unable to attend in person will be recognized, on Zoom or otherwise, and family members and guests are invited to follow the live-stream of the ceremony.
This occasion marks the first graduations that Haslam has held at the historic Tennessee Theatre, and the first in-person commencement ceremonies since December 2019.
“We are appreciative of the Tennessee Theatre opening their doors for our ceremonies, and want to thank our events and technology teams for making the adjustments needed to keep everyone safe and ensure that the ceremonies are available for viewing,” Mary Goss, executive director of Haslam’s Graduate Business Programs, said. “We are especially proud of our graduates who have excelled during this highly unusual and challenging year and wish them all the best.”
