The University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Haslam College of Business has been ranked 26th globally in the one-year MBA category by the Wall Street Journal and the London-based Times Higher Education. Results from the two organizations’ first-ever analysis were released today, Dec. 6.
“We’ve long known our business programs to be competitive internationally and this is a welcome addition to the growing recognition enjoyed by the Haslam College of Business,” says Bruce Behn, associate dean for graduate and executive education at Haslam. “We pride ourselves on delivering industry-relevant teaching and ensuring that our students receive a substantial return on their investment. It’s great to see that recognized.”
The Wall Street Journal & Times Higher Education rankings were based on more than 23,000 alumni responses from 134 participating institutions. The rankings focus on teaching excellence and the quality of students’ experiences. The Wall Street Journal plans to publish a United States-based feature in print later this month.
The Haslam College of Business received a number of favorable rankings in 2018. It has the most relevant EMBA programs worldwide, according to the Economist, and the most productive supply chain research faculty in the world, according to the Transportation Journal. The Haslam MBA program is ranked 22nd best nationally among publics, according to U.S. News & World Report, and 26th according to Bloomberg Businessweek.
