Haslam College of Business - Haslam MBA Reaches the Top 25 Among Publics in U.S. News Ranking

The MBA program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Haslam College of Business has risen to 22nd place among public universities in the 2019 Best Business Schools rankings from U.S. News & World Report. The full-time program gained 10 spots over its previous ranking, placing at No. 44 among public and private schools, nationally.

“Our students thrive in the supportive environment we foster and grow substantially during their time in the program,” said Bruce Behn, associate dean for graduate and executive education and Deloitte Professor in Accounting. “This leap is a testament to the quality of education delivered at the college. We’re excited to have the Haslam MBA program joining our other ranked graduate and executive programs that enjoy Top 25 placements.”

Other Haslam graduate programs ranked within the Top 25 include: supply chain (2nd nationally, Gartner); the Master of Accountancy (21st nationally, the Public Accounting Report); and the Master of Science in Business Analytics (22nd nationally, TFE Times).

The college’s custom executive education offerings also are ranked 13th in the country by the Financial Times and its Physician Executive MBA program is the longest running physician-only Executive MBA in the world.

Students, Behn said, increasingly choose Haslam for its ties to industry and excellence in niche areas including supply chain, strategic leadership, aerospace and defense, and healthcare.
