The 2024 Haslam Summer Scholars Research Awards program distributed more than $1.8 million — split over 45 grants — to University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Haslam College of Business faculty members to conduct exceptional research. The monetary value and number of grants awarded represent the largest single-year totals for the program. Over its 11-year history, the Haslam Summer Scholars Research Awards program has funded a total of approximately $6 million in faculty research grants.
“These awards enable our leading thinkers to conduct the kind of impactful research that contributes to the Haslam College of Business’ growing reputation around the world,” says Chad Autry, the college’s associate dean for research and faculty, Daniel and Karen Myers Distinguished Professor and R. Stanley Bowden II Faculty Research Fellow. “As our faculty continue to increase in number as well as capability, this year’s record-setting grants demonstrate our generous donors’ confidence in these talented scholars.”
Haslam Summer Scholars Research Awards are funded by both private contributions and the Chancellor’s Faculty Support Challenge. This year’s recipients, representing every discipline within the college, will hold their research designations throughout the 2024-2025 academic year. They are:
