TFE Times Ranks the Haslam College of Business in Its Top 25 Master’s in Analytics Programs

November 10, 2017

The Haslam College of Business’ Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) was ranked 22nd in TFE Times’ 2018 Best Masters of Business Analytics Programs. This is the third year in a row Haslam has made the ranking’s top 25.

“Being consistently ranked in the country’s top 25 programs demonstrates the strength and stability of the MSBA program,” said Missie Bowers, director of Haslam’s MSBA program. “We attract quantitatively oriented students and prepare them to apply analytic techniques to transform complex data into insights that positively impact the bottom line of the business.”

TFE Times bases its rankings on GMAT scores, undergraduate GPA and placement statistics at graduation and three months after. The ranking describes itself as the most comprehensive for graduate business analytics programs in the United States.

For the last four years, 100 percent of Haslam’s MSBA students attained jobs within three moths of graduation, with an average starting salary of more than $85,000 per year. The program focuses on quantitative, communication and soft skills, as well as technical acumen, to enable success in business.

Haslam’s MSBA was the first analytics program to be housed within a business school. Last year, it was a finalist for the Institute of Operations Research and the Management Science’s prestigious UPS George D. Smith Prize.
