UT College of Business Administration Excels in Big Orange Family Campaign

A big shout-out to the UT College of Business Administration for its participation in the Big Orange Family Campaign. Over 90 percent of the college’s faculty and staff contributed in this campus-wide initiative, which lasted February 17-March 14, 2014, versus the campus-wide average of 47 percent.

Five departments or centers out of the 11 tracked in the college, or almost 50 percent, had 100 percent participation:

  • Center for Business & Economic Research
  • Construction Industry Research & Policy Center
  • Department of Accounting & Information Management
  • Department of Finance
  • Department of Management

Another four departments or centers – Administration and IT Support and the Departments of Economics, Marketing & Supply Chain Management, and Statistics, Operations & Management Science–had over 90 percent participation.

“I am very proud of our giving and how it will change people’s lives,” said Steve Mangum, Stokely Foundation Leadership Chair and dean of the college. “It reflects a positive statement in support of the university and our journey to become a Top 25 public research university.”
