Each spring, Poets & Quants for Undergrads recognizes 100 seniors as its “Best & Brightest Business Majors.” Top 50 business schools and other leading institutions nominate students who have made the biggest impact on their programs. Among the qualifications considered for inclusion are academic excellence, leadership and extracurricular impact.
In 2026, Poets & Quants selected Tyler Porter of Bowling Green, Kentucky, as one of its best and brightest business majors. Porter, a rising senior majoring in business analytics at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Haslam College of Business, exemplifies the qualities the publication looks for in nominees. Read about Porter’s many accomplishments and accolades, as well as his reflections on his time at Haslam, in this Poets & Quants’ feature, and please join all of Haslam in celebrating his selection for this honor!
