The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Haslam College of Business marked a milestone with its first appearance in The Princeton Review’s annual rankings of undergraduate programs for entrepreneurship studies. The college placed No. 32 among public institutions and No. 50 overall.
A Commitment to Entrepreneurial Training
Tim Munyon, head of Haslam’s Department of Management and Entrepreneurship, said program leaders are grateful for the recognition as they promote and refine the college’s offerings.
“We are proud of the department’s inclusion in the Princeton Review’s top 50 undergraduate entrepreneurship list for 2026,” Munyon said. “It underscores our commitment to equipping students with the entrepreneurial skills and expertise needed to create and scale new ventures. We’re honored to be included in this ranking, and we’re continually working to elevate the value students and employers receive through our extensive, industry-aligned curriculum in collaboration with the Anderson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.”
The Anderson Center’s executive director, Breanna Hale, said the center is thrilled Haslam is recognized in the rankings. “It’s a great reflection of how much we’ve grown in recent years, and we’re eager to keep expanding the hands-on learning, research pathways and mentor connections that help our students confidently take on entrepreneurial ventures.”
Stephen L. Mangum, dean and William B. Stokely Jr. Foundation Leadership Chair, called this initial appearance in The Princeton Review’s ranking a steppingstone to greater success.
“The dedicated work of the management and entrepreneurship department and the Anderson Center is raising Haslam’s profile as a destination school for aspiring entrepreneurs, and this ranking reflects that,” Mangum said. “Their success in this area is emblematic of Haslam’s larger efforts to provide our students with a high-quality educational experience, real-business exposure and career-focused professional development coaching.”
Understanding the Princeton Review’s Rankings
Thanks to its extensive survey data and rigorous methodology, the Princeton Review’s annual ranking of undergraduate and graduate entrepreneurship programs — now in its 20th year — is widely respected. For the 2026 rankings, almost 800 schools provided information about their entrepreneurship offerings in response to surveys conducted from June through August 2025. Drawing on those surveys, The Princeton Review assessed more than 40 data points, including academic offerings, faculty credentials, experiential learning, mentorship opportunities and alumni entrepreneurship ventures.
