The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Haslam College of Business ranked No. 24 nationally and No. 38 globally in Research.com’s recent Best Business and Management Universities in the World 2026 ranking. The ranking is based on the quality and influence of an institution’s published research, assessing its impact on business and management scholarship.
Twelve Haslam faculty were also named to the platform’s Best Business and Management Scientists 2026 list. The ranking recognizes scholars whose research makes a significant impact in their field, based on the volume of their published work and how frequently it is cited by other academics.
Recognized for Scholarship
The following faculty were named best business and management scientists for 2026 from Haslam’s Department of Supply Chain Management:
- Chad Autry, associate dean for research and faculty, Myers Distinguished Professor of Supply Chain Management and R. Stanley Bowden II Faculty Research Fellow
- Christopher Craighead, FedEx Chair in Supply Chain Management and Sarah Alice and Tommy Bronson Faculty Fellow
- Tom Goldsby, Dee and Jimmy Haslam Chair of Supply Chain and David P. Perrot Supply Chain Management Faculty Fellow
- Ted Stank, Harry J. and Vivienne R. Bruce Chair of Excellence
- Wendy Tate, McCormick Professor of Supply Chain Management and Ray and Joan Myatt Faculty Fellow
Faculty named to the list from the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship included:
- Melissa Cardon, James A. II and Natalie L. Haslam Distinguished Professorship in Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Clark Family Faculty Fellow
- Tom Lumpkin, visiting senior research professor
- Tim Pollock, Haslam Chair of Business and Distinguished Professor of Entrepreneurship and Kinney Family Faculty Research Fellow
- Sherry Thatcher, Regal Distinguished Professor and Vallett Family Faculty Fellow
The following Department of Accounting and Information Management faculty were included in the list:
- Joseph Carcello, emeritus professor and emeritus director of the Neel Corporate Governance Center
- Linda Myers, Haslam Chair of Business and Distinguished Professor of Accounting, Jan R. Williams Endowed Chair in Accounting Excellence and Mary, Jack and Daniel H. Dougherty Faculty Fellow
Finally, Gil Souza, Haslam Chair of Business Analytics and Haslam Chair in Business in the college’s Department of Business Analytics and Statistics, was among the listed scholars.

Autry described Haslam’s ranking as reflecting the quality of the faculty’s scholarship and praised his colleagues’ research contributions to their disciplines.
