The Executive MBA (EMBA) program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Haslam College of Business remained at the No. 2 spot in overall alumni satisfaction among U.S. public institutions for the second consecutive year in the London-based Financial Times’ Top 100 Executive MBA Ranking for 2025. The program climbed two spots from 2024 to No. 10 overall among public universities and rose one place to No. 30 among all U.S. schools in the rankings.
Making its sixth consecutive appearance in the international ranking, Haslam’s overall performance is based on combined data from Haslam’s executive MBA program alumni as well as college-wide faculty and research data.
Markers of Success
A globally respected ranking, the Financial Times’ top EMBA compilation ranks programs using multiple criteria, including alumni salaries, satisfaction and aims achieved, among other factors. Haslam EMBA graduates continue to see strong career outcomes, with an average salary of $254,070 three years after graduation, an increase from $253,608 last year, placing the college at No. 7 among U.S. public institutions for salaries. Haslam EBMA alumni satisfaction ranked No. 2 among public institutions for the second consecutive year, and alumni aims achieved placed at No. 7 among public universities.
Equipping Students to Deliver Results for Their Organizations
Amy Cathey, Haslam’s associate dean for graduate and executive education, said Haslam’s ranking affirms the college’s dedication to developing EMBA graduates who possess the strategic insight and expertise to propel their organizations forward in competitive global markets.
“Haslam’s industry-connected faculty and staff are dedicated to providing relevant learning environments that transform students’ ability to lead and contribute in their organizations,” she said. “We also are focused on creating balance for the college’s EMBA students, helping them manage the competing needs of school, work and family as they earn their degrees.”
Colleges of business choose to participate in the Financial Times Executive MBA ranking, but their programs must meet specific eligibility requirements. Each program must be accredited by either the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business in the U.S. or EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) in Europe. Additionally, each program must be cohort-based, enrolling and graduating at least 30 students together each year, and must have been in operation for a minimum of three years.
