Jim Haslam to Speak at College's Undergraduate Commencement
James A. Haslam II, founder of Pilot Flying J, will deliver the commencement address for the Haslam College of Business’ undergraduate commencement ceremony on May 7. This is the first graduation address since the college was named in Haslam’s honor in November 2014.

New Study from Haslam Faculty: UT Has $1.6 Billion Annual Economic Impact on State
A recent study released by the Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER) revealed that UT generates $1.6 billion in annual income for the state of Tennessee, creates nearly 33,000 jobs and contributes more than $125 million in tax revenue to the state and local governments.

Anderson Center Awards More Than $50K to Winners of Spring Competitions
Eight student startups claimed a total of $51,500 in the spring competitions hosted by the Anderson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. The monetary prizes were divided between the Undergraduate Business Plan Competition, the Boyd Venture Challenge, and the Vol Court Pitch Competition, with several student companies placing in multiple competitions.

Haslam Well Represented Among Chancellor's Honors
The Haslam College of Business was very well represented at the Chancellor’s Honors Banquet, which was held on April 8. Winners included two students, a graduate assistant, an advisor and the Office of Diversity and Community Relations.

Lance Taylor graduated in 2009 with a double major in marketing and logistics as well as a collateral in international business. As a regular fixture on campus, Taylor was named a Torchbearer, the highest honor awarded to UT seniors, as well as being named UT Ambassador of the Year and receiving the Bank of America Leadership Award at Haslam.
