Information for Doctoral Students

Students accepted to the consortium will be honored as Doctoral Student Fellows and have a unique opportunity to network and share ideas with leading innovation scholars in a collaborative setting. Our two-and-a-half-day event will offer a variety of engaging and interesting activities, including faculty presentations, a student speed-networking session, one-on-one mentoring, roundtable research discussions and Oak Ridge National Laboratory tours. In addition, Doctoral Student Fellows will have the chance to compete for research support as well as the opportunity to present at the Annual PDMA Research Forum.

All meals, housing, social activities and local transportation will be provided free of charge. Students are only asked to cover their transportation costs to and from Knoxville, Tennessee.

How to Apply

Deadline: March 15, 2022

Eligibility: To be eligible for participation as a Doctoral Student Fellow, you should ideally be in the dissertation phase in a doctoral studies program related to innovation or new product development.

Procedure: Applicants must submit the following materials via the form below.

  • A two-page single-spaced summary of your dissertation. This summary should identify your topic, research question, theory, method, findings and expected contributions.
  • An up-to-date vita.
  • A letter of recommendation from your dissertation advisor.
