Biography
Daniel Weagley joined the University of Tennessee in 2024 as an associate professor of finance. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and previously was an assistant professor and the Hubert L. Harris Early Career Professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He conducts research on the role of financial frictions in climate finance, individual and institutional investor decision-making, and labor finance. His research has been published in top finance journals including the Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Management Science, and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. His work has been presented at over 60 conferences all over the world and been covered by several national news outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg and The New York Times.
