Biography

Yunye Shi is a teaching associate professor in the Department of Business Analytics and Statistics at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville Haslam College of Business, transitioning from her previous role as an assistant professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. Shi’s research focuses on applying machine learning tools to analyze and optimize energy systems, with an emphasis on sustainability and data-driven decision-making. Her passion for teaching and mentoring students drives her to instruct Haslam’s business analytics students.
