The summer after my junior year I worked for Ernst & Young in New York City. The office is in Times Square, so there is always something going on outside. As a tax technology Intern, I worked with visual basic programming in Microsoft Excel and Access. I also became the install specialist for a demo software that had been developed at EY, which allowed me to meet several partners at the firm. The Haslam College of Business helped prepare me for this role with their excellent accounting curriculum and teachers.
