Student Advisory Council Application

The Haslam College of Business is looking for students to serve on the new Haslam Student Advisory Council (HSAC). HSAC serves as the voice of student opinion to the college’s deans and administration on matters affecting the student experience and enhancing the college’s culture. As the college looks to continually enhance students’ opportunities, student insight, feedback and involvement are critical to the development and direction of efforts.

The Haslam Student Advisory Council represents the entire undergraduate population in the Haslam College of Business. Applications are encouraged from any Haslam student – freshman to senior and all majors.

Benefits of Being a Member of the Student Advisory Council

Students selected to serve on HSAC will:

  • Represent the undergraduate student population to Haslam deans and administration;
  • Impact the culture of the Haslam College of Business;
  • Gain leadership and communication skills;
  • Collaborate with students, faculty, and staff; and
  • Build opportunities for college-wide engagement and service

HSAC meets bimonthly at 5:30pm on Monday evenings.

In order to be considered, students must:

  1. Be pursuing a business major in the Haslam College of Business,
  2. Must be in good standing with the Haslam College of Business (cumulative 2.50 GPA or better),
  3. Should be able to commit to two (2) academic years of involvement with the Council. Students applying as a senior should be available both Fall 2019 and Spring 2020.
