Study Abroad Cuba
First-Year Experience
January 5 – 12, 2024
This will be a highly experiential study abroad program in which a small group of first-year University of Tennessee, Haslam College of Business students will have the opportunity to visit and interact with a variety of businesses and leaders throughout Cuba, where tourism, technology, and agriculture are key economic drivers. We will take advantage of this historic moment to explore Cuba’s changing entrepreneurial and international business environment. Along the way, students will have ample opportunity to dive into Cuba’s rich and diverse culture, including its music, art, and dance. This program will be based in the heart of the famed Cuban capital of Havana, steps from the University of Havana.

Prerequisites: Must be first-time, first-year Haslam College of Business Student
Course: BUAD 299: Special Topics (1 hr.) in Fall II Term / IB 489: Study Abroad
