The Haslam College of Business MBA program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, climbed eight spots in U.S. News & World Report’s 2021 Best Graduate Schools ranking. The college is now 23rd among public universities nationwide and 46th overall, up from 29th among publics and 54th nationally in 2019. Haslam’s Supply Chain Management program rose one spot among publics and nationally, coming in at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.
“At the Haslam College of Business, we provide high-caliber MBA students with the real-world skill set that prepares them to immediately make an impact in the business world upon graduation,” Stephen L. Mangum, dean and Stokely Foundation Leadership Chair at Haslam, said. “This ranking confirms how much our students and the business community benefit from Haslam’s education and career preparation.”
Mangum also lauded the supply chain program’s ranking and its reflection on faculty dedication and the overall quality of supply chain management education received by students.
“Haslam’s supply chain program has placed in the top 10 in the U.S. News & World Report rankings for the last five years and has now reached its highest ranking yet,” he said. “That is a credit to the faculty’s professionalism and the hard work of our students and support staff.”
U.S. News’ rankings are based on surveys that the publication sent to all 477 accredited MBA programs. This year, 364 responded. Of those, 131 provided enough data to calculate a ranking based on a weighted average. Numerous factors were taken into account for the average, including business dean and director peer assessments, recruiter assessments, student placement success and mean undergraduate GPA.
