Kevin O’Meara is executive vice president of supply chain and enterprise strategy at Shaw Industries Group Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, where he reports to the president and CEO. He is also a fellow with the Global Supply Chain Institute. In his role, O’Meara leads supply chain transformation, enterprise strategy development and initiatives to support long-term business growth. He also serves as executive sponsor of SHAWVET, Shaw’s associate resource group for veterans.
Before joining Shaw, O’Meara was senior vice president of operations at Interline Brands, a private equity–owned MRO distributor that was acquired by The Home Depot in 2015. Earlier in his career, he held supply chain and operations leadership roles at Whirlpool Corp. and Schneider Logistics.
O’Meara began his career as an officer in the U.S. Army, serving 9.5 years in leadership roles across the Armor and Quartermaster Corps. His service included assignments in Germany and leadership roles supporting large-scale logistics and operations during Desert Storm.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University, an MBA from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh and completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School. O’Meara has served on the board of directors for the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals and the board of Lanehub, a transportation technology company acquired by Transplace. He was named a Global Supply Chain Institute Fellow in January 2023 for distinguished service to the field of supply chain management.
