The Global Supply Chain Institute (GSCI) at the University of Tennessee publishes free white papers by leading faculty and industry partners that cover strategy, risk and disruption management, planning, talent development, logistics, procurement, and people leadership. Topics are selected based on the challenges that supply chain professionals worldwide are actively facing.
GSCI research has been featured in leading outlets, including Forbes, Harvard Business Review, Supply Chain Management Review, and The Wall Street Journal.

“What distinguishes these white papers is that the research is shaped by practitioners who are living these challenges every day, then rigorously developed with UT faculty. You get the credibility of academic research with the relevance of real-world practice.”
Scott DeGroot
Managing Director, UT Global Supply Chain Institute

GSCI white papers are produced through the Advanced Supply Chain Collaborative (ASCC)—a first-of-its-kind initiative that brings together University of Tennessee faculty and senior executives from leading organizations to tackle the most pressing challenges in supply chain management.
Research is led by expert faculty alongside industry veterans—including professionals from Amazon, Colgate-Palmolive, Cummins, Pfizer, Schneider Electric, and others—and developed through rigorous data collection, executive interviews, and collaborative working sessions.
ASCC’s impact spans three areas: advancing innovation for industry partners, enriching faculty research and teaching, and producing insights primed for publication in top-tier academic and media outlets.
All white papers are available for free. A brief registration—name and email—gives you instant access and keeps you informed of new research as it publishes.
