John-Patrick Paraskevas earned his Ph.D. in supply chain management with a minor in strategic management from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. His research focuses on buyer-supplier relationships, supply chain representation in the c-suite and supply chain risk management. His research has appeared in Journal of Supply Chain Management, the International Journal of Operations and Production Management and Technovation, and it has been nominated for awards at the Academy of Management conference, the Strategic Management Society (conference and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
Paraskevas has worked in the defense industry in the areas of supplier network management and supplier finance. He has taught carrier management, introduction to supply chain and operations management, supply chain risk management, and executive decision making and has received numerous commendations for teaching excellence.
