Chad Autry, the William J. Taylor Professor of Supply Chain management and head of the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management, recently received an alumni award from his alma mater, the University of Oklahoma. Autry was recognized for the outstanding accomplishments in his business academic career.
“I’m honored to receive an award, especially from an institution with as many successful alumni as Price College of Business,” Autry said.
Autry was selected at the recommendation of the Price College executive committee and dean. The selection committee cited his outstanding academic record in the area of supply chain management and national and international renown as the reason for the award.
Autry has served on three national committees for the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and on the national Board of Directors of the Warehouse Education and Research Council (WERC). He is the outgoing editor in chief of the “Journal of Supply Chain Management” and currently serves as an associate editor for the “Journal of Business Logistics,” “Decision Sciences Journal” and “Logistique Management.” Autry has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed studies and two books published by Financial Times Press.
Five other alumni received honors at Price College’s 10th annual luncheon. Autry attended the Price College of Business for both his undergraduate degree in marketing and his doctorate in supply chain management.
