Guests driving around the Knoxville area often note they catch glimpses of the of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on the horizon. The mountains here are an ever-present source of natural beauty, cultural identity, tourism and good times.

The Smokies are the most visited national park in the country, and right outside of the park’s boundaries you’ll find exciting destination cities like Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Sevierville.

There’s always something going on in downtown Knoxville’s iconic Market Square, where you can relax with a great meal and live entertainment. The city offers plenty of attractions. Ride the Star of Knoxville riverboat or the Three Rivers Rambler historic train, or visit the UT Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame. There are also downtown walking tours about ghosts, the civil war and country music.

From music festivals and concerts to theater and art shows, Knoxville has plenty of opportunities that combine unique cultural experiences with social events.

The Big Ears festival in March and Rhythm N’ Blooms in April are just a couple of examples. Check out what’s playing at Tennessee Theater or the Bijou Theatre – both historic venues book big-name shows from around the world. Haslam College of Business students live, work and play on the University of Tennessee campus. With over 250 buildings, these 580 acres are home to recreation opportunities, Greek life, great dining, campus events and of course, football.

Our state-of-the-art student rec center and student health center are great places to catch a workout or tend to your body and mind. You certainly won’t go hungry during your time at the Haslam College of Business. National brand restaurants in the building and the student union next door include Subway, Starbucks, Einstein Bagels, Chick-fil-A, Qdoba and Panda Express.
