The Collaborative Leadership Summit brings together leaders from higher education, industry and community to explore the transformative potential of relationship-centered leadership. The summit will consist of educational sessions and a closing awards luncheon.

Josh Dunn
Josh Dunn, executive director of UT’s Institute of American Civics at the Baker School, focuses his research and teaching constitutional law and history, education policy, federalism and freedom of speech and religion. He has authored several books, writes a quarterly column for Education Next and has appeared in outlets like The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.

Breanna Hale
Breanna Hale is the executive director for the Anderson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Coming from Utah Valley University’s Entrepreneurship Institute, she brings vast experience in developing entrepreneurship programming, building a network of mentors and resources for students and increasing student business funding.

Sara Hsu
Sara Hsu is a clinical associate professor in Haslam’s Department of Supply Chain Management. Previously, she was an associate professor of economics at the State University of New York at New Paltz. Hsu specializes in supply chain disruptions, supply chain fintech and the Chinese economy.

Jazmine Kelley
Jazmine D. Kelley is the inaugural director of access and engagement in UT’s College of Communication and Information. She leads efforts in student success, faculty development, strategic planning and institutional transformation, working with leadership, faculty, staff and students to create a supportive and thriving college environment.

Jeremy Kirk
Jeremy Kirk is the assistant dean for access and engagement in UT’s Tickle College of Engineering. He oversees the Dwight Hutchins Expanding Access to Engineering Program, the Jessica M. Morris Women in Engineering Program and membership in both the Management Leadership for Tomorrow and the National Graduate Degrees for Minorities in Engineering and Science Consortium.

William Lyons
William Lyons, professor emeritus and associate director for community outreach at UT’s Institute of American Civics, retired from UT in 2011 after serving in multiple leadership roles. He later worked as deputy to the mayor of Knoxville. A noted scholar and author, he also consulted widely and served over 20 years as WBIR-TV’s political analyst.

Tara Mohrfeld
Tara Mohrfeld, a lecturer in Haslam’s Department of Management and Entrepreneurship, held leadership roles in Haslam’s graduate programs, taught in the leadership studies minor and oversaw the UT Leadership Development Program. She advises the MSUT student organization, contributes to college summits and councils and coaches students, all while connecting alumni and industry partners in learning experiences, including for-credit global business trips.

Robert Mullaney
Robert J. Mullaney is UT’s BeWell employee wellness coordinator, based in the Student Health Center’s Center for Health Education and Wellness. A licensed occupational therapist, he brings extensive experience in clinical care, academia and wellness coaching. His career spans leadership in higher education, program development and health-focused organizational consulting.

Christina Najera
Christina Najera is an assistant professor in UT’s Tombras School of Advertising and Public Relations, where she teaches courses in advertising and public relations. Her research examines how media messages shape perceptions of health, risk and body image. She brings over 12 years of experience in law, television, marketing and nonprofit work, including work with Disney/ABC.

Javiette Samuel
Javiette Samuel is a seasoned academic leader and UT’s associate vice chancellor. Since 2017, she has also served as assistant vice chancellor and director of engagement and outreach. Before joining UT, she was interim associate director at the University of Kentucky from 2015 to 2017.

Aaron Snyder
Aaron J. Snyder is the first executive director of strategic partnerships for the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Haslam College of Business. In this role, Snyder enhances Haslam’s ability to connect at high levels with leading firms and leverages advantageous employment and career opportunities for Haslam students and graduates. His activities expand Haslam’s scope and increase its effectiveness in assisting students in their career advancement endeavors.

Lindsay Stone
Lindsay Stone is the senior director of children and youth mental health programming at McNabb Center, overseeing services in Knox County and beyond. Since joining in 2005, she has led school-based programs, outpatient clinics, crisis services, intensive case management and Tennessee’s first children’s crisis stabilization unit, supporting youth mental health statewide.

Duren Thompson
Duren Thompson is an instructional designer, facilitator and coach with more than 25 years of experience in higher education, adult education and K-12. Since 2022, she has coordinated education and outreach for UT’s Office of Ombuds Services, leading systems-change initiatives that strengthen outcomes, belonging and social justice.

Marianne Wanamaker
Marianne Wanamaker is the dean of the University of Tennessee’s Howard H. Baker Jr. School of Public Policy and Public Affairs and a professor of economics and public policy. She is a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, and a research fellow at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA) and at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. Wanamaker is the former chief domestic economist at the White House Council of Economic Advisors, where she also served as the senior labor economist. She is a former member of the Federal Workforce Policy Advisory Board and a former associate consultant for Bain & Company in Boston, Massachusetts.

Lisa Yamagata-Lynch
Lisa Yamagata-Lynchis a professor in UT’s College of Education, Health and Human Sciences and has served as the university’s ombudsperson since 2019. She established the Ombuds Services Office for graduate students, staff and faculty and is a Certified Organizational Ombudsman Practitioner®, coach, mediator and trainer. She recently received the International Ombudsman Association President’s Award and was elected to its board of directors in 2024.

The three breakout sessions are all available across both breakout periods.
The Collaborative Leadership Summit sessions will be held consecutively, with the first round of sessions taking place from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., followed by the second round from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. At the conclusion of the sessions, we will host the Collaborative Leadership Awards Luncheon to close the day’s activities from 12:15 pm – 1:30pm.
