Biography

Justin Short joined the University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Department of Accounting and Information Management from Emory University. He completed his PhD in accounting at UT in 2018. Prior to his academic career, Justin held several positions at Ernst & Young in its Nashville office, specializing in the insurance and manufacturing industries. He is a licensed CPA in the state of Tennessee. Justin’s primary research areas are corporate governance, boards of directors, financial reporting and auditing. He also earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Accountancy degrees from UT. He teaches intermediate financial accounting to undergraduate students.
