The Haslam College of Business is excited to offer a new hybrid leadership coaching certificate program designed to equip coaches with the skills, knowledge and experience to successfully coach others. This “coach the coach” program is intended for business professionals looking to transition into professional leadership and executive coaching.

Program Benefits
Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will have covered a robust curriculum building competency in coaching that provides the foundation for effective practice. On completion graduates will:
- Receive the Haslam Coaching Certificate
- Have earned more than the minimum coach training hours and the mentor coaching (10) hours needed to apply for the ICF ACC or PCC credential
- Be eligible to gain paid coaching experience as part of the Haslam Leadership Coach team to support your ICF application.
Our team is here to help you prepare your application materials if/when you are ready to apply for an ICF credential.
The program is grounded in a curriculum built from best practice and evidence, delivered by faculty experts and MCC credentialed coaches. During the program participants will:
- Explore key concepts
- Fundamentals of coaching
- Best practices in the coaching process
- Actively apply them to their own projects
- Explore combination of service learning, interactive case discussions, concrete plans to advance their projects
- Participate in individual learning labs guided by experts
- Gain masterful coaching insights, implications, and practices
The course emphasizes lifelong learning and professional development, guiding coaches on their journey toward mastery.

Program Details
Pricing
$11,500
This includes all program materials. Breakfast, lunch, and the Coaches Night Out in Nashville dinners are included. Travel and hotel costs are not included.
Program Design
This 175 hour hybrid program balances in-person learning and virtual learning to meet the work-life needs of working professionals. The program includes three learning intensive residencies, bi-weekly virtual synchronous learning sessions, and outside of class asynchronous learning activities.
Total synchronous hours = 93.5 hours
Total asynchronous hours = 81.5 hours
Dates
- Kick-Off: Fall 2025 (October 14-16th, 2025) in Nashville, TN
- Virtual Residency: Summer 2026 (May 2-3rd, 2026) online
- Graduation: Fall 2026 (November 10-12th, 2026) in Nashville, TN
- Twenty-five 90-minute online sessions held every other Tuesday evening, from October 28, 2025, to October 27, 2026

ICF Credentialing Pathway
Ready to earn an ICF credential?
Haslam’s Leadership Coaching Certificate program provides all the training and mentor coaching necessary for qualification. After accumulating 100 coaching hours for ACC or 500 hours for PCC, participants will be fully equipped to apply for an ICF credential with confidence and credibility.
This program fulfills the training and mentor coaching requirements for ICF credentialing. Once participants complete the required coaching hours — 100 hours for ACC or 500 hours for PCC — they will be well-prepared and eligible to apply for their ICF ACC or PCC credential with confidence.
