Finance Professor Honored by Knoxville Business Journal

Laura Seery Cole, director of the Masters Investment Learning Center at the Haslam College of Business, has been selected as one of the Greater Knoxville Business Journal’s 40 under Forty.

Cole has been recognized for her dedication to financial education both at the university and in the broader community. Under her leadership, the Masters Investment Learning Center has grown from 50 to nearly 1,000 students in just six years. Cole also heads the UT Investment Group, advises the CME Group’s Trading Challenge, and is a board member for the Women’s Fund of East Tennessee.

Each year 40 under Forty selects a group of young leaders promoting growth and change in Knoxville. The program seeks to highlight individuals in a breadth of career paths and industry fields representing the area’s business community.
