Mary Goss has joined the Haslam College of Business as director of the full-time MBA program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She comes to Haslam from the Mendoza School of Business at the University of Notre Dame, where she served as senior director for graduate business programs.

Goss, who also has worked with MBA programs at Wake Forest and Duke universities, will be responsible for the growth and success of the Haslam MBA.

“My overall vision is to see the program among the top 25 public institutions,” Goss said. “I want our students to receive transformative educations that make them highly sought after by recruiters throughout the country. I’m very excited about the future.”

Bruce Behn, associate dean for graduate and executive education, said the experience Goss brings from working with MBA programs throughout the country is an important addition to the college.

“Mary’s wisdom and experience is already adding value to our MBA program as well as the entire graduate business programs portfolio,” Behn said. “She brings vision, high standards and vast industry knowledge to our executive team. Within her first month, she has already built key relationships with students, faculty, staff and alumni.

Behn said he looks forward to continued growth under Goss’s leadership as she builds on traditions of excellence and defines new ones. “Her work will allow us to meet the ever-changing and evolving needs of our graduate students,” Behn said.
