The full-time MBA program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Haslam College of Business ranks at No. 21 among U.S. public universities, according to the Economist. The WhichMBA ranking, released by the magazine on Thursday, October 31, rates the Haslam MBA as No. 79 in the world. Among the top 100 programs worldwide, only 23 are U.S. public institutions.
This is the college’s first time to be included in the Economist’s listing of top 100 full-time MBA programs. “This is the program’s first international ranking, and we’re very pleased and excited to see the value of our MBA program recognized worldwide,” says Mary Goss, Executive Director of Graduate Business Programs. “We’re also gratified to see that our alumni recognize the value of their degree and rate our career services highly.”
In addition to the overall rankings, the Economist ranks Haslam’s full-time MBA as No. 15 in the world for alumni rating of career service support and No. 31 in the world for education experience. The Haslam MBA is the third Haslam program currently ranked internationally. In 2018, the Economist ranked the college’s Executive MBA No. 23 in the world. Earlier this year, the Financial Times ranked Haslam’s custom executive education programs as No. 20 worldwide.
The Economist determined its rankings using a rolling average of data from the past two years. Two surveys were conducted among schools with eligible programs: one quantitative survey covering matters such as average GMAT scores, graduate salaries and number of registered alumni; and one qualitative survey completed by current MBA students and graduates from each school’s most recent MBA class.
