Biography

Christine Kohnen is an adjunct lecturer in the Department of Business Analytics and Statistics at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Haslam College of Business. Her research interests span machine learning, Bayesian statistics, missing data and data confidentiality. Previously, Kohnen held academic appointments at Carleton College and the University of Richmond, where her educational scholarship focused on integrating scientific writing into statistics education and developing data science courses. Most recently, Kohnen was a research scientist at the University of Iowa, where she was the co-investigator of the Parkinson’s Progression Markers Initiative and Path to Prevention Platform Trial Data Management Cores and worked to develop a data science and data analytics team.
