Biography

With over 30 years of senior management and international consulting experience, Dennis P. Dougherty serves as an adjunct lecturer and leadership coach in the Executive MBA program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Haslam College of Business. He also coaches with Haslam’s Anderson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and maintains an ongoing affiliation with the college’s Department of Management & Entrepreneurship, where he continues to guest lecture. A former interim COO for two high-tech startups, Dougherty has led large-scale transformations for corporate and government clients worldwide. Partnering with corporations, investors and public organizations, he helps teams drive growth, manage change and achieve operational performance excellence. His areas of expertise include strategy execution, operations excellence, program management and leadership and people development.
