Biography

Jared Smith is cofounder and CTO of Uncat, an accounting technology company, and cofounder of Evasive.ai, a malware intelligence startup. He also serves as senior manager of engineering at Recorded Future, a Mastercard subsidiary, where he leads the global internet scanning platform team. Smith is also an adjunct professor of computer science at New York University.

Formerly a distinguished engineer and R&D Strategy Lead at SecurityScorecard, Smith has held senior technical and research roles at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where he secured over $6M in funding and licensed multiple technologies. While a student at the University of Tennessee, he founded VolHacks and HackUTK. A frequent speaker and published researcher, he has delivered 30+ talks internationally, holds five patents and has authored over 20 peer-reviewed papers.
