An interdisciplinary team led by Sara Hsu (supply chain management) and Joshua Fu (civil and environmental engineering) will discuss the addition of an environmental indicator to the EPIC framework. The original EPIC framework assessed 55 countries in 10 geographic regions on their supply chain readiness in terms of four factors: economy, politics, infrastructure and competence. The addition of an environmental sustainability indicator provides a contemporary update to a factor that many managers must integrate as they decide on global location decisions in their supply chains.
