This fall, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Haslam College of Business welcomed approximately 2,568 new undergraduates to begin the 2025-2026 academic year. This class breaks the record of 2,368 new undergrad enrollees who began in 2024. Haslam also set a new high for total undergraduate enrollment with 9,816 students enrolled, and its rate of 94 percent of its first-year students retained from 2024 is also a record. Finance, marketing and management and entrepreneurship saw the largest influx of new students.
Lane Morris, Haslam’s associate dean of undergraduate studies and student affairs and the Fisher Professor of Innovative Learning, believes the college’s enrollment growth reflects prospective students’ attraction to the high-quality educational experience Haslam strives to provide every student.
“Haslam faculty and staff are dedicated to equipping our graduates with the skills, tools and training to become leaders in both Tennessee’s workforce and around the globe,” Morris said. “The college’s continued enrollment growth shows this preparation is sought by students who desire a strong business foundation. High-caliber students know that, at Haslam, they will receive an unparalleled learning experience delivered by faculty who are leaders in their fields. The experiential learning gained in the classroom combined with invaluable co-curricular opportunities available to them enables students to put themselves in the upper echelons of academic achievement, prepared to enter the business world and make immediate contributions to their employers’ goals.”
