Biography

Angela L. Cheatham is a teaching assistant professor in the Department of Supply Chain Management at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Haslam College of Business. She has expertise in supply chain management, logistics, transportation, project management, Lean Six Sigma and management and is Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified. 

Cheatham has taught courses in supply chain management for aviation and aerospace, logistics management for aviation operations, transportation, lean six sigma, project management, management and college success. She has supervised industry-engaged projects that help students apply supply chain, project management and process improvement tools to authentic organizational problems. 

Her professional and scholarly interests include logistics systems, supply chain strategy, Lean Six Sigma, aviation and aerospace operations, quality improvement and space policy. She has collaborated with aviation, aerospace, space, manufacturing and community partners on projects involving supplier qualification, process improvement, project planning and logistics optimization. 

Cheatham’s publications include books and scholarly work on Lean Six Sigma, logistics systems, systems supportability, seaport preparation and U.S. national space policy. Across her teaching, service and research, Cheatham is committed to advancing student learning and connecting business education to industry practice.
