Biography

Ashley King is a senior lecturer in the Department of Accounting and Information Management at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Haslam College of Business. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in information management, business process analysis, databases and emerging technologies. Her teaching emphasizes applied learning, data analytics and the effective use of technology to support collaboration and business decision making.

King’s instructional approach is informed by her doctoral training in learning, design and technology and has been recognized through multiple teaching awards at the college and university levels. Her course design focuses on inclusive teaching practices, structured collaboration and the practical use of digital tools to prepare students for technology-enabled professional roles.

Prior to joining Haslam, King worked in public accounting as a senior auditor. Her professional experience continues to shape her teaching and curriculum development, connecting accounting practice, information systems and learning technologies.
