Haslam College of Business - Ben Spears

Biography

Ben Spears is a senior associate at Winterpast Capital Partners, a Nashville-based private equity real estate firm focused on senior living communities. He works across acquisitions, asset management and finance for a portfolio of roughly 20 communities in multiple states. Much of the work is relationship-driven partnering with the operators and on-site executive directors who run the communities’ day-to-day operations and working alongside lenders, brokers and investors through acquisitions and refinancings. That side of the job is what he enjoys most.

As a member of the Haslam Young Alumni Board, Spears is excited to give back to the college that launched his career. He is a third-generation UT graduate. The people willing to take a call and make an introduction made a difference in Spears’ college career, and he wants students to have more of those. During his time on the board, and through the philanthropy committee, he hopes to help students build genuine relationships with alumni in Nashville’s real estate and investment community and to support mentorship that lasts beyond a single conversation.

Spears is the proud dad of two kids.
