Cathy Duesbery is a teaching associate professor in the Department of Finance at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Haslam College of Business. Previously, she served as a professor of practice in the Master of Accounting program at Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business, where she received the Dean’s Excellence in Teaching Award and the university-wide Career and Professional Development Award for her mentorship of students beyond the classroom. Duesbery served as a lecturer of finance and accounting at Spring Hill College before joining Tulane.
Prior to entering academia, she spent 18 years building a career spanning financial regulation, public accounting and business management. She enjoys drawing on this professional experience to help students connect classroom concepts with real-world practice and currently teaches courses in financial statement analysis.
