
Debbie Mackey
Debbie Mackey is the faculty advisor for the UT student chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and a distinguished lecturer. She works with students in the classroom and the community to assist them in finding internships and connecting with professionals. She has her SHRM-SCP certification as well as credentials in Total Rewards, Wellness and Mental Health. Mackey serves on an advisory board for shrm.org as well as on numerous boards in the community focusing on specific areas of human resource management.
The UT SHRM chapter has won the Southeast Regional Business Case for the past two years and has been awarded the number one chapter in the nation. In 2023, UT SHRM received support from National SHRM for being one of the top four active chapters in the nation.
Mackey was recognized as 2023 Student Engagement Advisor of the Year and 2022 Haslam Advisor of the Year.
