Biography
Joy Powell earned her Master of Accountancy with a concentration in audit amd controls from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Haslam College of Business in 2023. She is an assurance senior associate at PwC in Nashville, where she primarily serves clients in financial services, with a focus on insurance. Since joining PwC full-time in 2023, Powell has supported audits of large insurance clients, including new accounting standard adoption work. Prior to her full-time role, she gained experience through internships in both public accounting and industry finance, including roles with PwC, LBMC and GE Aviation. Powell is a licensed CPA in Tennessee and also earned her B.S. in accounting from the University of Kentucky in 2021.
